David Attenborough. David Attenborough is the man that tells us about the animals and Environment of this world. His voice is the same. He still has the same reassuringly familiar voice. But his message is uncanny and dangerously warning. We have overrun the world. We are replacing the wild for the time. Our planet is heading for destruction. Sir David Attenborough is the only one who dares to tell us about the abuse of this planet. He studied zoology and geology while working with the producer of the BBC in 1994 when he convinced his boss to let him loose and explore the world. He was only 20 years old. Back then wilderness was everywhere, and you could fly for hours and not see civilization. It was the best time of his life. He became famous for his groundbreaking series Life on earth which was seen by 500,000 people worldwide. I believe that Most prestigious Environmentalist and progress towards the newer generation award of the century, should be award should be awarded to him and no one else. This is because from the age of 20 and he is now nearly 100 years old and is still dedicating his life to saving the planet. He has done many shows and interviews to try and show the world the effects of deforestation, climate change and pollution. Since his first job, he took when he did not have a tv he wanted to help the environment.
Firstly, Sir David should receive this award because of his lifelong dedication to saving our planet. He is the main person telling people the harsh truth of our over presence in this planet. He is warning us that in the future there lies a life humans will not like. He is warning us that we are replacing the wild with the tame. He is the only one who is courageous enough to say that we are destroying our planet. To this exact cause he has spent his entire and this alone deserves this highly prestigious award.
Furthermore, While telling the world the consequences of our actions Sir David is also teaching the younger and older generation of humans. He is teaching us about Animals and their behaviors. He has managed to make a perfect balance between learning about animals and warning humans about our actions. By teaching us and warning us he keeps us captivated and wanting to save the beautiful things we see. Never in my life have I seen anyone have such a balanced way of teaching and warning us.
Going even further, Sir David Attenborough Introduced the first colored TV in 1967 while he was the controller of the BBC. He showed every one that colored TV is not just newer nonsense. Him and his shows showed everyone that colored TV was the newer way to go and it was worth it. Without Sir David we would not be as advanced in knowledge about The consequences about our action, the earth and colored TV would be not as advanced. Many things like video games and online news such as ABC and 9 News would not be a thing without Sir David as well.
As well as that, David Attenborough has received 32 degrees and has traveled the world. This shows that he knows a lot about the world and subjects. Sir David could have gotten an easy job and settled down with lots of money and retired, But, no. Now at the age of 95 he is still working on saving the world and all of its inhabitants. Including us. If this is not worthy of the Most prestigious Environmentalist and progress towards the newer generation, then nothing is.
